Other Articles:
  • The Battle of Stony Point 1779: The American raid that was executed at Stony Point in July 1779 effectively secured a vital communication and supply link between New England and the rest of the colonies.
  • The Battle of Chalons 451 AD - Aetius’ Coalition Battles Attila the Hun: In AD 451, Attila the Hun left the Great Hungarian Plain and crossed the Rhine River at the head of a huge army, intent on plundering the rich but largely unprotected province of Gaul. If he was successful, the rest of Europe would be ripe for conquest.
  • Tczew 1627: With Poland focused on countering the Turkish and Tartar threat to its southeast, Swedish king Gustavus Adolphus saw his opportunity to attack. In the summer of 1627, the two sides would clash near the town of Tczew.
