Agricola is a wargame of the campaign fought by Gnaeus Julius Agricola, the Roman governor of Britain (AD 77-85) to conquer northern Britannia (modern Britain). There are two players, the Roman and the Caledonian (the latter actually representing various northern British tribes). Each player is provided with cardboard pieces called “units” that represent military formations or tribal warbands. Players move their units, conduct battles and objectives.

The game is part of a series; this particular game is set during the War in Vietnam, 1954-75. Future games will include battles in continental Africa, the Middle East and eventually a hypothetical NATO-Warsaw Pact conflict. The game system emphasizes command control, combined arms, and evolving technology.

The War of Jenkins’ Ear simulates the last major conflict in the Caribbean between England and Spain from about 1739 to 1748 (though it was largely eclipsed in Europe by the War of Austrian Succession at the time.) The actual underlying cause of the war was trading rights in the lucrative West Indies. After centuries of intermittent and reoccurring war between the English and Spanish, these two maritime powers had managed to work out a trade agreement that ended their conflicts but not their longstanding enmity. In April 1731, the captain of the Spanish caravel La Isabela intercepted and boarded an English brigantine (the Rebecca) near Jamaica that he suspected of being a smuggler. The brig’s goods were looted and the English captain (Robert Jenkins) was consequently tortured throughout that day.

The War of Turkish Liberation begins during the first half of 1920, when the victors of World War I (Greece, France, Italy, and Great Britain) tried to implement the partition of the Ottoman Empire that had been agreed to at the treaty of Sévrés. There are two players in this game:the Revolutionary player and the Imperialist player. The Revolutionary player controls the Bolshevik and Turkish Nationalist armies, and the Imperialist player controls the armies of Greece, Armenia, Azerbaijan and Georgia.

The Confederate player must maintain a viable economic and political core, while the Union player attempts to divide and conquer the southern states. Pacific Subs. Germany's U-boats are better known, but the US Navy's submarine fleet achieved the greater victory, bringing the Japanese Empire to its knees by hollowing out its merchant fleet. In this solitaire game, you the player represent the skipper of a submarine. You task is to conduct patrols against the Japanese by supporting the US fleets in combat, ambushing Japanese warships, carrying out covert operations in Japanese territory, and, above all, by sinking merchant ships and tankers. You can conduct one of several individual patrols, or fight the whole campaign, with a goal of promotion to Captain---if you survive.

Alesia is a two-player game of the epic battle between Roman and Gallic forces in 52 BC. The battle pitted two of the great Leaders of that era against each other: Julius Caesar and Vercingetorix. This began as a Roman siege of the Gallic fortress at Alesia, and concluded with a decisive battle. The game system emphasizes command control. Players pick command markers to generate actions, modeling the chaos of the original battle.

Windhoek is a wargame of the campaign in which British Empire forces, mainly from the Union of South Africa, conquered the German colony of Southwest Africa. In the original campaign, the British won within ten months, but the campaign could have gone different, as von Lettow Vorbeck demonstrated in German East Africa. This is a two-player game, in which one side commands the Germans, and the other Allied forces (including South Africa, British and Portuguese colonial).

Last Stand at Isandlwana, 22 January 1879 is a two-player tactical wargame of low-intermediate complexity simulating the last 90 to 240 minutes of that infamous and legendary battle of the Anglo-Zulu War. The Zulu player is on the offensive, attempting to wipe out the entire British force on the map as quickly as possible. The British is attempting to win by having some remnant hold out longer than occurred historically or, alternatively, by having some portion of his command escape off the map and get back to relative safety at Roarke’s drift.
