Rough & Ready: Mexican-American War covers the opening battles (Palo Alto, Resaca de la Palma and Rio Sacramento) in the War with Mexico 1846-47 . The design is intended to be a relatively user-friendly simulation of grand tactics during this era, with an emphasis on ease and speed of play. Each hex covers approximately 120 yards. Each combat unit represents about 150-200 men. Each artillery counter represents from one to three guns.
